David K. Garver, MA, LMFT joined University Psychological Associates in 2007. He earned his Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco in 1996. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, his clinical work has been in both community mental health and private practice in San Francisco, California. Mr. Garver integrates Family Systems theory and strength-based approaches with his clients. He works with adolescents and adults with trauma histories, adjustment/transitions, and family issues. Mr. Garver brings to UPA his enthusiasm for developing healthy relationships within couples and families. He also focuses on helping adolescents gain greater self-esteem and assertiveness so that they may lead more satisfying, fulfilling lives. |
